RL 20 is a ceiling light which features a universal form and minimalistic design that fits most new and old elevator cars. In particular, the light's geometrical design language in combination with its sophisticated functionality makes it a winning design.
KSP 858 is a destination operating panel with an advanced touch screen. The jury praised the product for its well thought-out and versatile user concept and high performance, which make the operating panel to suit a variety of buildings.
"This modern ceiling light and intuitive touchscreen operating panel are definitely among our leading design innovations. We are extremely honored to have been recognized in such highly appreciated design awards and will continue the good work with our design process," says Timo Tiainen, Director of Design Solutions, KONE.
Earlier this year, both designs were also acknowledged at the iF product design awards and received honorable mentions in the Fennia Prize 2014. In addition, KONE's innovative design has been awarded at the prestigious GOOD DESIGN awards three times.
